Il Clima   Climate
Il clima è arido, contrassegnato da una notevole scarsità di precipitazioni oltre che da sensibili escursioni termiche sia annue che diurne. L'interno del paese, l'altopiano, presenta caratteri desertici con il deserto salato (Dast-i Kevir) e il deserto di Lut (Dast-i Lut), cosparsi di bacini salmastri, come del resto anche tutta la parte orientale del territorio dove l'intensità dell'evaporazione è particolarmente elevata. A Teheran, la capitale, si registrano solo 220 mm di precipitazioni annue e la temperatura media oscilla tra i 2 °C in gennaio e i 30 °C in luglio. Nella sezione montuosa nord- occidentale e sulle coste del Caspio, invece, le precipitazioni sono più abbondanti: a Rest si hanno 6-7 °C a gennaio e 24-25 °C a luglio, con 1300 mm di precipitazioni annue.   Its climate is arid, characterised by poor precipitations and very light temperature's excursions both annual and daily. The inland, the tableland, has desertic characteristics due to the presence of the salty desert (dast-i Kevir) and to the Lut one (Dast-i Lut), both with brackish basins as in the rest of the oriental part of the country where the evaporation is really elevated. In Teheran, the capital, there are just 220mm of annual precipitations and the mean temperature oscillates between 2°C in January and 30°c in July. On the North-West mountains and on the Caspian coasts, instead, precipitations are abundant: in Rest there are 6°-7°C in January and 24°-25°C in July with an annual precipitation of 1300mm.
