Il Clima   Climate
Le condizioni climatiche presentano caratteri essenzialmente torridi in quanto il Brasile si estende tra l'Equatore e il Tropico del Capricorno: nella maggior parte del territorio si registrano temperature medie annue superiori ai 20 °C, salvo nell'estremità meridionale dove possono scendere al di sotto dei 18 °C. I valori più elevati (dai 24 °C ai 27 °C), anche stagionalmente, si verificano nel cuore dell' Amazzonia, che è un vastissimo bassopiano alluvionale si tuato a nord, solcato dal Rio delle Amazzoni, con altitudine media inferiore ai 100 m, dove domina l'opprimente clima equatoriale (caldo e umido). Un'eterna primavera, invece, si gode lungo la zona costiera dell'Oceano Atlantico. Per quanto riguarda le precipitazioni, sull'Altopiano Brasiliano, cioè sulle alte terre meridionali, esse sono generalmente superiori ai 1000 mm, mentre quantità annue oltre i 2000 mm si registrano nell' Amazzonia occidentale, lungo le coste nord- orientali e nelle zone più elevate dell'altopiano. Nelle zone settentrionali tagliate dall'Equatore le precipitazioni hanno carattere generalmente costante con due massimi equinoziali, mentre nel resto del territorio la loro frequenza è soprattutto estiva ed è legata in gran parte all'influsso degli alisei di sud-est. Non infrequenti sono gli effetti di ondate d'aria fredda responsabili di disastrose gelate per le colture dell'altopiano (friagens). L'abbondanza delle precipitazioni e la loro frequenza hanno contribuito a formare una fitta rete idrografica.   Brazil's climatic conditions essentially show torrid elements because the country extends its territory between the Equator and the Tropic of Capricorn: in most part of the territory the annual mean temperatures registered have been beyond 20°c except in the southern extremities where they can fall under 18°C. The most elevated temperature's values (that is from 24°C to 27°C) are generally recorded , even seasonally, in the heart of Amazonia which is a very huge alluvial lowland set in the North and crossed by the river Amazon with a mean altitude lower than 100m where the oppressive equatorial climate dominates (it's hot and humid). An eternal spring, instead, is present on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. For what regards rainfalls, they are generally higher than 1000 mm on the Brazilian tableland that is on the high southern zone, while the annual amount of rainfall is recorded in western Amazonia with a percentage of 2000 mm per year registered along the North-East coasts and in the most elevated zones of the same tableland. In the northern areas, cut into two parts by the Equator, precipitations are generally constant with two equinoctial maxima, while in the rest of the territory rainfalls interest the whole summer and are strictly linked to the blowing of the trade winds from South-East. It can frequently happen disastrous icings due to the cool-waves damaging the tablelands' cultivations (called friagens) The abundance and the frequency of rainfall has contributed to feed a thick hydrographical basin.
