Il Clima   Climate
Notevole è la varietà dei paesaggi climatici derivante dal variare dell'altitudine: la Bolivia si estende dalla Cordigliera Occidentale ai bassipiani amazzonici, presentando la zona dell'altipiano, la zona andina e quella dei bassipiani. Nella regione dell'altopiano le precipitazioni sono molto scarse a sud, intorno ai 200 mm, ma crescono fino a raggiungere gli 800 mm verso nord; le temperature medie in estate (a gennaio) sono sui 10 °C, in inverno (a luglio) sui 7 °C. Nella regione andina costituita da due importanti Cordigliere che si spingono ad altezze rilevanti (Illampù 6550 m, Nevado de Illimani 6886 m) si hanno spiccate condizioni di aridità, con zone interessate
al glacialismo (al di sopra dei 5000 m); la precipitazioni possono avere carattere nevoso in inverno. Il versante esterno della Cordigliera orientale, investito dai venti provenienti dall'oceano Atlantico presenta vallate ricche di boschi, soprattutto nella fascia temperata tra i 1500 e i 2500 m di quota. I bassopiani orientali hanno temperature elevate (26-28 °C), con clima subtropicale caratterizzato da piovosità intorno ai 1000 m verso sud e clima equatoriale con piovosità sui 2000 mm e oltre verso nord, per cui passando verso est- nord/est si giunge alla foresta pluviale di tipo amazzonico caratterizzata da fitta vegetazione. L'inverno (aprile- novembre) è la stagione meno piovosa. 		  It shows a variety of climatic landscapes due to the different altitudes of the country. Bolivia extends from the western Cordillera to the Amazonian lowlands showing the tableland areas, the Andine part and the lowlands. On the southern lowland areas precipitations are really poor (about 200mm), but they get higher reaching 800mm in the North; the mean summer temperatures is registered in January (10°C) while the mean winter one are in July (7°C).
In the Andes' regions , made up of important cordilleras which reach elevated heights (Illampù 6550m, Nevado of Illimam 6886m) there are evident dry conditions with areas characterised by glacialism (above 5000m) . Here precipitations can turn into snowfalls in winter. The external part of the eastern cordillera subjected to winds blowing from the Atlantic Ocean, shows valleys rich in woods, above all in the mild areas between 1500m and 2500 m of altitude. The eastern lowlands have very elevated temperatures (26°C-28°C) with a sub-tropical climate characterised by rainfalls of about 1000mm in the South and an equatorial climate with rainfalls of about 2000mm or even more in the North. That's why, passing from Eaast to North and again to East we reach the rainy forest of Amazonian type characterised by a thick vegetation. Winter (from April to November) is the less rainy season.
